Subsidisation of Non-plastic & Taxing of Plastic

The government should implement a scheme in which that companies producing containers alternative to plastics can apply for a subsidisation providing extra money which will serve as a financial reason for companies to use non - plastic packaging. Since there will then be companies producing non plastic containers, and they will be cheaper than the plastic containers so that businesses will be inclined to use the cheaper plastic containers.

The government should also implement a tax on any plastic being produced and also when it is being sold to the general public. This will make it so that companies will have to have higher costs to the customer for anything packaged in plastic, so the customer will be more inclined to buy things not packaged in plastic.
